Design & MArketing Internship

Overview
OTTO Engineering builds communication products for ground/air defense, aerospace, agriculture, and etc. They are trusted by those who depend on precision and reliability in the field.

Otto Engineering - Carpentersville, IL (05/27/24 - 08/12/24)

Process
One of my first projects was developing a recruitment branding campaign for younger applicants. I created new messaging—“We Manufacture CAREERS, Experts, Leaders, Purpose”—and paired it with visuals for LinkedIn and billboard ads. I also designed product advertising for the Lynq Pro, incorporating topographic line graphics to reflect its navigation capabilities. Beyond campaigns, I redesigned more than 10 product sell sheets for trade shows, ensuring strong hierarchy and balance between imagery and text. Finally, I created an animated graphic for the CEO’s profit-sharing presentation, visually expressing OTTO’s commitment to supporting warfighters, law enforcement, and first responders.

Outcome
These projects gave OTTO refreshed recruitment tools, improved product marketing, and impactful executive visuals. For me, it was a hands-on opportunity to learn how design operates at the intersection of marketing and mission-critical industries.
